Regional Foods and Bands on the Beach!

There’s lots happening over here at the moment and on Friday I went down to the port where there are food stalls from different regions of Spain. I sampled cider from Asturias, sangria from Castilla Leon and Castilla la Mancha - where they have zurra which is a martini sangria and Rebujitos (wine) from Andalucia. Then it was off to the beach to see bands play, bands have been playing every night since Wednesday! Anyway below are some of the photos. I really enjoyed the evening and there was such a good atmosphere around the place...next week Oktoberfest!

The other Thursday I saw Eli “Paperboy” Reed and his band the True Loves at Playa club. I must be honest, other than listening to a couple of songs through spotify and checking out his website I really didn’t know a great deal about this guy, but was looking forward to the gig.

The gig was full! I didn’t expect that many people to be there! I really enjoyed it, Eli’s voice is amazing, looking at him you wouldn’t think that he’d be capable of singing like this, the band were awesome too and they played a really decent set. I definitely recommend checking this guy out if you get the chance.
